This is a work-in-progress Wolf Priest that I’ve been building around the idea of the wolf-touched enhancement from the Beastslayer detachment. I wanted him to feel like he’s gone a step further than a typical Wolf Priest—someone who hasn’t just studied the beast, but has started to become it. The Wulfen head felt like the right way to push that idea visually and make it obvious straight away.
One thing I experimented with on this model was the skin tone. Instead of starting from a standard flesh base, I built it up from a purple. The idea was to get a darker, colder tone—especially around the eyes and recesses—to make the face feel a bit more unnatural. I think it’s helping to push that slightly inhuman look. Hoping this will help to differentiate his face from the unit of wulfen he joins as they are already complete and I used a standard flesh base.
Still a bit to do, particularly around his dagger, but I’m happy with how it’s shaping up so far.
